Our selection process requires completion of a comprehensive registration form that will provide us with information to help identify and select vendors whose products and services meet the qualificatins and skills required appropriate to the task.

Our supply chain management goal is to procure the best products and services at the lowest total cost of ownership. The strategies to accomplish this goal include all of the following:

leveraging Oxy Oman's purchasing power
fostering competitive markets
using competitive bidding as the preferable procurement method
using technology solutions to minimize transaction processing costs

Our vendors must also comply with Oxy's high environment and safety standards, and the registration process includes questions regarding vendor safety records and practices.

Local vendors offering oil and gas industry products and services must complete all of the steps described in the Register section in order to create a Vendor Profile in Oxy Oman's database of suppliers and contractors.

While the database will be used to select qualified vendors (as solely determined by Oxy Oman) for participation in competitive bid solicitations, registration is not a guarantee of participation.

Our goal is to provide a win-win situation for both Oxy and our vendors, while maintaining transparency, adhering to Omani law and complying with our agreements with the Ministery of Oil and Gas and other partners in this important venture.
